About This Book:
I have always been an adventurous guy… from mountain hiking and camping to running marathons on the Great Wall of China! That’s me!
So then I had children! 👧🏻👧🏻As you can see, from the previous photos, my girls are WONDERFUL! I just want(ed) to take them on all of my adventures… and now maybe I can! (With a little help from Annika, the author of this book!)
I met her a few day’s ago! She had her family in tow and they were heading off on a family adventure TOGETHER! I was totally inspired! 🤩
I am now in the middle of planning a family adventure with my kids to the Canadian Rockies! (Western Canada’s outdoor playground! 🇨🇦)
We are going to start off with baby steps and do some day hikes in the area I was solo camping last fall! (I’ll share some pictures of that soon so stay posted!) There’s a BEAUTIFUL lake hidden away out there at the top of the mountains. I want to show my girls how AMAZING it is! 🏔
So! The best thing about Annika’s book is it gives parents, like me, the tools and confidence to take our kids on #OutdoorAdventures!
What’s the #1 concern for any parent considering a hike of any kind?
Here’s some of mine:
* Are we really going to be able to do this? I know I can… but can they?
* What if we only make it half way? What if the trail we pick is to hard for them?
* Have other families done this trail? What did they have to say about the experience?
* Maybe I should leave the kids at home and try this hike by myself 1st? But that’s so lame… 😒
* And so on and so forth!
“Hikes For Families” has how to get there’s, detailed maps, suggestions on what to bring and what gear to use, trail details like elevations and difficulties, photos, and also notes about if there are any nearby 🚾 or other attractions close by. Your going to feel prepped and ready!
Additionally Annika also has a blog where she shares her own family adventures AND (here’s the best part!) an app for tracking your own adventures as you have them with your family! (Or you can just read about other families adventures until you find the one that peaks your interest the most! That’s good to!)
So yes! This is a total recommend especially if you have kids! 🙌
